Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi’s all brand Redmi has teased another variant of its K30 5G smartphone launched last year. This variant will be launched as Redmi K30 5G ‘Speed Edition’. The mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G 5G processor has been used in the Redmi K30 5G launched last year. However, the new variant will use its upgraded processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 768G. This may be the world’s first smartphone to be launched with this processor. This smartphone has been teased by Chinese e-commerce website JD.com.
Xiaomi has teased this smartphone under the name of Redmi K30 5G ‘Speed Edition’. It can be launched in the Chinese market tomorrow i.e. on May 11. This will be the upgraded model of Redmi K30 5G launched in December last year. Changes cannot be seen in any feature other than the phone’s processor. In the teased picture, a dual punch-hole display can be seen in the phone, just like the Redmi K30 5G. The centrally aligned quad rear camera set-up can also be seen in its back. The phone can be given a 120Hz refresh rate display.
Possible features of Redmi K30 5G ‘Speed Edition’, it can be launched in two storage options 6GB RAM + 128GB and 8GB RAM + 128GB. The phone can have a 6.67-inch Full HD Plus AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Quad rear camera set-up can be given in the back of the phone. Its primary sensor can be given 64MP. Talking about other camera features of the phone, it can be given 8MP + 5MP + 2MP sensors with LED flash. For the selfie, it can be given a 20MP + 2MP dual punch-hole camera. The phone can be launched with MIUI 11 based on Android 10. The 4,500mAh battery can be given in the phone with 30W fast charging feature.
From the moment we arrived in May, one would say that Xiaomi / Redmi would have stopped launching new devices, at least until September-October, BUT SO THEY DON’T MAKE MONEY!
And Redmi knows this, so it continues to release new models of the Redmi K30 family, with the latest being the Redmi K30 5G.
Here are two very interesting things to discuss.
Originally the Redmi K30 5G Speed edition, it came out of nowhere, since just a few days ago it appeared as a title, and today it has been confirmed.
Out of nowhere, however, came the SoC of the device, since inside you will find the Snapdragon 768, which as its name suggests, is essentially an improved (overclocked) version of the classic SD 765, which you will almost find on all 2020 Mid-range 5G phones.
The K30 5G Speed Edition, in addition to SD 768, will come with an FHD + IPS screen with a refresh rate of 120hz and a dual hole in the front for selfie cameras.
It will have at least a central 64MP sensor on its back, plus everything else that comes with it, while we also expect a 4500-5000mAh battery.
This will be the fourth model in the K30 series, after the K30 4G (SD 730) Redmi K30 5G (SD 765), and Redmi K30 Pro (SD 865) and there are many rumors that we expect at least one more, with the Redmi K30i that will is the cheapest of all, probably with Mediatek SoC.
The official announcement of the new Redmi K30 5G Speed Edition will be made online, on May 11.
